Grants: Spring 2003

March 12, 2017

Jennifer Adams, BH-BL High School

The money would be applied toward the purchase of a freezer chest to be housed in the new science wing near the biology rooms. The freezer would be used to store fresh frozen specimens and supplies for a variety of biology labs. There has been a switch from using preserved specimens to fresh, larger specimens. Currently there are 344 students taking biology.

Grant: $270

Diane Kilfoile and Marty Pangburn, Pashley Elementary

The money will be used to initiate an “Advantage Press” program to assist with difficult discipline situations. . “When students are detained in the office during recess we will have them complete a packet addressing their situation. It is an excellent discipline tool that focuses on the specific misbehavior.” “We typically have 3-6 students a week referred to the office, which adds up to 120-224 students per year who might use the program.”

Grant: $121
